Hybrid App Dev > Flutter

  1. For our mobile apps, we considered Ionic React, React Native, and ultimately, we went with Flutter.
  2. Ionic React pricing seemed a little steep at $50/month and support seemed difficult to find, but their templates looked good.
  3. React Native with Expo was appealing at $29/month and support seemed available, but their templates looked basic.
  4. And then we found Flutter.

  • Flutter is beautiful, but difficult to install.
  • Support seems limited to Discord, so that is not promising.
  • We are going ahead with it anyway, because it is “Hey Google” compatible.
  • And at the end of the day, we are a Voice company.
  • And we want to get our apps in cars.
